Hi,i'm sure somebody can help me with this question.
Normally we camp in the Lakes and go to sites where we know we will get in. In a couple of weeks we want to go to Skye for a week,we just decided this weekend.Without ringing round and checking do you think we would find a site ok ? Or is this folly in high season. I don't want to commit to one site with the weather we have had,and not knowing the area etc and also might like to do a couple of places to break the journey. We might also be hiring a campervan, although i think it will be tenting,i dont think we'll get a van at this late stage.Thanks.
Edit: The gf has managed to hire a campervan, yay.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We stayed at a nice site called Loch Greshonish at a place called Edinbane, a really nice quiet site owned and run by a nice couple Ben and Rhonda. Do campsite search for Isle of Skye and have a look at the pictures.
I think you would be fine if you are flexible about sites and take a camping book and perhaps ring en route. If you don't book you can change your plans dependant on the weather.
We managed in Dorset in August one year without booking.
