I have tried to book in to a few sites in the lakes and they wont take us because we are a group of 6 women! Do you know of any good camping sites  within a two hour drive from Newcastle. I have trawlled the pages but am sure someone out there can recommend somewhere - cheers

Why is it that sites dont allow single sex groups but will allow large groups of mixed sexes, surely they are going to be more rowdy than 6 women who like the outdoors and enjoy meeting up for walks.

might be further than 1 hour, but we have had a hen party here before as you can read in our reviews

thanks for the recommendation, however somerset is a little too far for us! think we are looking north lakes or Northumberland.
