Hi Folks

Just wondering if anyone has been camping near Alton Towers.  Have used the seatch section and found a couple of sites, but just wondered on peoples views.  Where I am it will take a good few hours to get to Alton Tower, so though if we stay over in the tent, we could have more fun time and also save a few pennies on the cost of a B&B

To be honest I just have the camping bug and will find any excuse to camp lol

A few people are likley to recommend Star site.  Look their myself but I can be there from home in under an hour

Been to the star myself twice, once camping and then with my caravan.

Very nice site, but i was not happy when a few of our friends were sitting outside there tent with the radio on in the background (only just hear it), was then asked by the warden to turn it off as they said it was too loud.  The best bit was it was 2pm and there was hardly anybody about as they had proberley gone to towers!
