I have read the reviews of these two parks and they read very well, but was wondering if any of you have been there in the last few weeks and what your opinions are negative/positive. How busy/noisy are they now during the summer holidays?

Osmington Mills is probably quite busy although it's a great site but haven't visited recently as we've now got a caravan and they dont accept them. The swimming is normally good but noisy and the bar's entertainment very cheesy and crowded. Average pub food. Well situated with lots of places to visit and walks out, pony riding too.
------------- Come on if we leave now we can make it before it's dark. How many times have we heard that?
Not been to Peppermint, but we went to Osmington last summer holidays for four nights ( mine is one of the reviews you've read!)
Yes the pool did get busy, but the lifeguard was spot on as some kids started causing trouble and he chucked them out. wouldn't even back down when the angry mother came down. The whole site is on a slope but it is easy enough to find a flat bit to pitchon. My main gripe is although our pitchonly sloped slightly, the whole site slopes a lot and the walking up and down the hill, to shop, pool or toilet block, was painful for me as I have a bad knee

Hi, I have been to both. Osmington Mills is a bit more rough and ready than P. Park, no electric there, and it is more isolated, you can walk to pub and cliff path/rocky beach, but no shops. It is lovely, but gets packed and its a free for all with no marked pitches the pub on site is great for take away food- big portions, and swimming pool lovely with trees around it. P.Park is a more manicured, lawns mowed, numbered pitches, type of place, more rules, swimming pool is a square box with a slide not nice to sit beside, bar was dark and loud bingo on and not as nice as O. Mills. You can walk to sandy beach with bucket/spade/toy shops/ kiddie rides and some shops and chip shop along the road, so it is more in town. I liked both places, but for a longer holiday I like electric. I would go back to both, both good in their own way. Regards, Joanne
Went to Pepp Park years ago before it was taken over, walked through the park in April looked nice, but peak season it was £34 so abit pricey for us. It has an outdoor pool, club entertainment etc.
We've been to both and preferred Osmington Mills. If you go Bj Macabe is excellent entertainment on the Sun night he had the whole pub rocking with his TRex covers the food is pretty good in there too. Plus its only a 10 min drive into Weymouth
