Just had a very successful trip at the Plassey Leisure Park in Wrexham, and are now looking to book a site in the Lakes for the last week in August - We have three children aged 7, 5 and 4 - Can anyone please recommend a nice site in the Lakes?
Many thanks for your time

Hill of Oaks is a lovely site. It is about 10 minutes drive from Bowness on Windermere and set amongst trees. Sits right on Lake Windermere. We spent nearly a week sitting by the lake having bbq's - heaven! A great, well kept site that has loads of room and isn't very commercialised. Toilets, showers etc kept in fantastic clean condition. If you are looking for clubs etc however, this wont fit the bill!

Parkfoot is expensive! Try the C and CC site at Keswick - lovely site, very well run..
Also fishergound is great as well - they have a great playground and is a really friendly site which is a favourite amongst a lot of us!
If you want a site just on the edge of the national park, there are two which fit the bill - Wyndham in Cockermouth and Spring Lea in Silloth - the latter is cheap, great and has a lovely indoor pool should the weather prove bad..
