Just had a very successful trip at the Plassey Leisure Park in Wrexham, and are now looking to book a site in the Lakes for the last week in August - We have three children aged 7, 5 and 4 - Can anyone please recommend a nice site in the Lakes?

Parkfoot is expensive! Try the C and CC site at Keswick - lovely site, very well run..

Also fishergound is great as well - they have a great playground and is a really friendly site which is a favourite amongst a lot of us!

If you want a site just on the edge of the national park, there are two which fit the bill - Wyndham in Cockermouth and Spring Lea in Silloth - the latter is cheap, great and has a lovely indoor pool should the weather prove bad..

Many sites listed on this website , and plenty of reviews to give you the pointers needed

Yes...that is because your UKcampsite buddy went to check the site for you to ensure it was not too water logged!!!!!! lol
