Hi

And we're taking the plunge and buying a van after selling our folding camper. One problem is storage. I found a few places on this site but they are full!

Any ideas for storage in the Swindon North Wiltshire area?

I'm near Cirencester so have been scratching my head ... if you don't mind leaving it at Malmesbury there is a caravan park there with very reasonable storage. Burton Hill - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=burton+hill&by=sitename

There's Gospel Oak Farm near Purton - 01666 861166

There is also http://www.waterparkstorage.com/cms/index.php?id=1 in Latton. Although the website shows units, I have seen a motorhome in their car-park, could be theirs of course!

Otherwise try ringing Swindon Caravans, they are bound to have a list of storage places, they must get asked a lot. Good luck!

This might not be of too much help, but I booked the last week of the kids holidays at Callow Top in Derbyshire last week and noticed this on their news page:

WINTER STORAGE

Is available during our closed season from

4th November 2007 - 16th March 2008. Storage is

on hard standing with CCTV surveillance and a

locked security gate.

The cost is £100 and includes pitch fees for the use

of your caravan for the first weekend of the 2008

season 14th - 16th March.

I'm a tenter, so I've no idea how much winter storage costs, but remember thinking this seamed like a good deal at the time.

Would it be worth dragging your caravan to Derbyshire for a weekend before they shut?
