Hi,

Anyone know of a site we can go to for just Sat night this bank holiday weekend. Most places seem to want min 3 night stay or are already booked.

As rustic as possible i.e more tent than caravan, campfire's etc probably more important than showering facilities and the like, as it's just a night.

Any pointers would be great.

Don't know of any that allow campfires. Caerddaniel or Trawsdir near Barmouth seem nice. They don't take bookings though and are more coastal than rustic.

No idea whether Tyddyn Morthwyl allows fires but as the owner is about 100 (she looks it anyway), probably wouldn't notice! I think you could describe this site as rustic although we had a chav family next to us last August BH.

What about Shell Island at Llanbedr between Barmoutn and Harlech, I don't think that they take bookings but I would give them a call first just to make sure as its a while since I stayed. Its tents olny and you can pitch in the dunes - great for the beach. Good luck
