Hello!

We are camping novices and are looking for a very quiet campsite, preferably by the water and with stunning views/surroundings in North Yorkshire or The lake district. We are looking to go This Friday so somewhere that doesn't get busy during bank holidays. Any help please would be most appreciated.

try little stainforth. it's beautiful. you have the peaks, caves, views and the waterfalls.

sounds that good i might go myself.

I doubt if somewhere wont get busy over the most popular bank holiday of the year, and if it doesnt then surely you need to ask yourself why?  Best of luck

Try the national trust camp site at Wastdale head- really beautiful, and harder to get to than others.You can get the info from the NT website.
