Does anyone know of any decent caravan sites not too far from Lancashire - we are looking to go in October half term but want something with things going on for young boys and if possible a swimming pool.

I know about Holgates in Silverdale which is really nice but just wondered if there were any more further afield?

Theres Rudding Park at Harrogate.It has a pool and a very nice family pub/restaurant attached.

I was going to suggest Three Rivers - my sons enjoyed it there when they were a bit younger!  Plenty to do, and right on your doorstep.

Hi

Ripley Caravan Park HERE with really good facilities. Great play area for kids football field, and a swimming pool.

Lightwater Valley, Big Sheep Little Cow Farm, York Maze and Railway Museum, all within about 30 minutes drive, Eden Camp about and hour.

Brighouse Bay southern scotland for definate would be my choice.  Only a few hours drive from Lancashire.  Indoor pool, couple of ponds for fishing, a wee beach, playpark etc.  A very well run, well kept park with plenty to keep the young uns busy without being too holiday parky!!!   read reviews!!
