Last minute decision to go to avebury in wiltshire, maybe wander over to glastonbury. Three humans, two tents and two dogs need campsite. Go early saturday morning and return tuesday. Things are looking desparate for campsite. Any suggestions?

I know its not quite the area you were looking at but you could try here http://www.stonehengetouringpark.com/. We stayed in April and they fitted us in last minute. Off peak I know but they're worth a try. The reviews on here are positive and we enjoyed our stay. Claire

Have you tried using the campsite search facility? Means lots of ringing around but worth it if you get a pitch.

Tried phoning various campsites and all booked up. My friend i'm going with then got on the job and phoned around and booked us in at one that had previously told me they were full! The best bit was it was my first choice campsite!!
The stonehenge site looks interesting. Will bear that in mind. Many thanks.
