eh.......fridge,microwave,were going camping, not caravanning..lol....when we get to our chosen site and put our tent up,i know this may sound a bit thick, but im imagining there will be a power point next to each caravan so we can plug in for electric .what do we need to take for electric, some kind of cable or lead.[bet ya thinking bloody hell, what novices have we here] but honestly,we have,nt the first clue or idea about camping but we are certainly going to enjoy,HELP...................so i hope youre ready for lots of questions over the next few days..............

What do you mean? We're camping tomorrow, and are taking fridge, microwave, TV, kettle, and toaster. Wouldn't dream of going without them. Don't think just because you're in a tent you can't have it all. We just pile the trailer up with as much as it can take, then go. We just bought all cheap appliances (kettle toaster and microwave all for around £35 from a supermarket). You pay about £2 for electric and we like to get our moneys worth. Happy camping without a TV, not with 4 kids, (even looked into taking the sky box).
I'm fairly new to camping too, Roise and had loads of questions but found that this site has been really helpful.
NB - don't feel obliged to take electric hook-up or think that everyone else will have electricity, their dishwashers, toasters, butlers, four-poster beds etc. but you! Plenty of people enjoy a more back to basics approach with gas stove and a coolbox with ice blocks. See what works for you and your family best.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
