Don't know whereabouts you are or if you've got kids - I can recommend a good one (lakes and river) near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire but it's adults only

Lyons Park in Doreset is excellent - four lakes with caravan/camping around the edges of most lakes.  Very quiet with acres of mature woodland all round.  Not specifically adult only but nothing really suitable for kids unless they're into fishing.
