Have you looked on the campsite search? If you use the map search facility you can click on the sites that look near the coast,

Have you looked at freshwater park, dorset. It has its own private beach and also a outdoor pool. Can get quite busy but a excellent site. We are going next year with the kids.

Highlands End is on top of the cliff (just 5 minute down to the beach), nice site but can get quite windy.

What type of beach, and for what activity?

For sandy beaches, reasonably warm sea and great surfing, it's gotta be north Devon (Croyde, Damage Barton), but for coastal walks I'd go to Dorset or south Devon (just because we spent three nights holding our awning down in north Devon when the wind got up!!) so N. Devon I'd go for Damage Barton (about 1 mile walk, if that) or Dorset I'd go for East Fleet Farm - right next to the beach, but it's pebbles mostly. Both these reviewed on UKCS.
