Are you a C&CC member? There is a CS near Macclesfield but can't remember the name. Wild Boar would be good other than BH w/es when we went except it has no EHU.
No not a C & CC member and Maccles field was bit further away than was hoping as we are planning some hill climbing and would sooner have a site within walking distance of hills / mountains.

There are hills around there, there is Lud's Church/ The Roaches between Macclesfield and Leek (you could stay near Leek and approach from the south side), it's a lovely area.
Rowter Farm, Castleton overlooks Mam Tor, near Winnats Pass and very close to the famous caverns at Castleton including the Blue John. This site makes a marvellous base for keen walkers
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
