As winter approaches, and wanting to camp in our van over winter, I feel the best way to do this - bearing in mind the weather - would be to look ar going  to a site that has an indoor pool to keep my 7 year old happy. this way if it is nice, we can still go on our bikes and on a play area - if not we can pass a few hours in the pool - then back to the van for snuggles, dvd, games and snuggles!!

Any suggestions where people have stayed would be appreciated - approx 1.5.hours from sheffield - thanks guys

We stayed at Ripley Caravan Park nr Harrogate last year and it has a lovely, warm (but small) indoor pool.  The site is really nice too (we chose it because of the good reviews on this website).  It's quite a small site but has a children's play area, small games room and a chip van that visits at weekends.

thanks so far guys - went to bainlands last weekend - very good - see whats on at the kinema in the woods, also tattershall castle about 10 minutes away, quite good.

just come back from caravan club at carsington water "blackwood plantation"  - oh it was brill. nice weather as well - good facilities, adn at the carsington water tourist info place a good play area as well.  - anyway back to searching for winter pitches!!!
