Hi all, Windy Harbour Poulton-Le-Fyldes near Blackpool for us, Thursday-Monday. It's our annual pilgrimage to see the illuminations (well, last 4 years anyway). Already pre-ordered our wristbands for the pleasure beach, unlimited rides all day. Never been on the Big One, it's always been shut down due to high winds whenever we've been!
It certainly seems that most of them area heading North Hellen doesn't it?!

Friday lucnchtime, we set off to the Bluebell Railway for the Giants of Steam Festival. Staying at Heaven Farm near Uckfield Sussex, it's 500mile round trip from Lancashire. (must be crazy)
Certainly not looking forward to the M25 in the evening traffic.
Further to the above we have done crazy things like that too. We both work, so sometimes can only do one night at a time. We have done 500 miles for one night before too ie Great Yarmouth, Brighton and Winchester are three examples. There is an underlying reason to visit usually, not just driving for the sake of it.
Some people worry about clocking up the miles, we don't, we worry about not using the van enough instead.
we are off to Christchurch in the Forest of Dean this weekend. We were going to go to Burnham on Sea but the prices went silly. We haven't managed to get to the Forest so far this year due to the appaling weather so we are really looking forward to it!

We're not off until tomorrow lunchtime (Fowey here we come!) but OH is just washing the camper (in the dark now!) and I've packed her up. Just the goodies and the fridge stuff to go in tomorrow and then we'll hit the road.
Counting down the hours!!!!
