Just home today from Yorkshire Dales. Last week of season for us anyway. It was very sad knowing it will probably be March before we take off again. I know there are sites open all year round, but the short days and long nights in the caravan are not worth it for us. Anyway this year, we did a seven week stint, from Northumberland right down to Cornwall and back, stopping off 15 times for a few days at a time. Would you believe in that time I think we only had one dry week! Still it was an experience which I would like to do again only Northwards next time. Only one site was pretty lacking in up to date toilet facilities (all c.c. sites) although it was clean and only one set of grumpy wardens. Doesn't home seem so spacious when you get back, even though mine is just a two bedroom bungalow, feels like massive!!! Ah well, better get used to the idea of being here for the next four months - sigh!!!!
