Hi there

We are wanting to go to Southport for easter, and are looking around for alternatives in case the CC site at Southport is full ......My question is which is the better campsite Riverside or Willowbank.

Any pointers greatly appreciated

we have only been to willowbank and only heard about riverside.I suppose it depends if you got kids and how much entertainment you want.Willowbank was very friendly, but quite a way out of southport not much for children to do, no children even on site when we went. Good toilet block,RAF base next to site also near to a busy crossroads which can be noisy at night.Nowhere to walk to if you wanted anything to eat without getting in the car and going into southport.I think Riverside is quite a busy site so it depends on what you're after.

Hope this helps

Nicola

Hi Nicola
my son is all grown up now so we don't need things for children to do, but we quite like to have a walk around, not sure if willowbank sounds like a good idea, any other touring sites around Southport........
