want to go away this weekend, can anyone recommend a good site? we are in teesside and want to travel no further than the York area as weather looks like its not going to be that great. we would ideally like somewhere with a few shops/pub close by, maybe a 5/10min car journey, any help would be great

Hi Sarah, Have you tried Whitewater Park its right next to Teeside Park,The Talpole Pub and Travel Lodge.Its a super site.There are plenty reviews on it all good ones at that We are from Hartlepool and this is one of our fave sites we try and go as often as we can with Miss Oxydon and Marpin our ukcs friends, or is it a bit to close to home?.Ill try and send the link for you to take a look.

We are off to White Water this weekend. Not too far for us for a quick get-away, like Janis has already said close to Teesside Park and the Talpore is a 5 minute walk away.

thanks so much for replies i havent been on since i posted - we have managed to get a pitch at Cawood holiday park near York- has anyone been and if so any good? yes i think the one at teesside park a bit close to home - i used to work right near there so would probably have views of the building i worked in - not good lol!
but thanks so much anyway - this is only our second weekend away as carvanners! will probably put it into storage next week although my partner wants to go away for xmas in it!

Didn't catch your post until tonight, we were also on a service pitch - didn't see you until you were leaving this morning , I saw your UKCS thingymabob in the window...........! Couldn't believe it, we were diagonal to you....pitch 12.

Can't believe we did'nt see you Tracy, I walked around the site with the dog looking for a van with a UKCS sticker in it, We should have put the UKCS flag up, hope you had a good weekend.
