Don't know the site Gary but just down the road there is a great pub called the Fighting Cocks and you just have to book a table there for a meal!

Fantastic menu with lots of game dishes on it, I can't wait for a day out in the Forest again just so that I can have lunch there lol.

Totally agree with you Snowy the Fighting Cocks is a great pub.

Haven't heard of anything special going on at Sandy Balls Gary - can go and ask for you if you like because it's only just up the road from us. They've opened a synthetic ice rink for winter (been in the local press recently), guess that if that takes off this winter it will be there next.

We are going there for New Year. They have got all the usual childrens activities and New Years night they have entertainment that looks very good.

Family disco from 7pm,a group I think 8:30 -10pm, Blues brothers 10:30-11:45pm, disco & bar until 1am. All looks good so we are looking forward to it. Will let you know when we come back.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
