We have a very large tent and want to go camping at Easter in the Lake District with out children 4 and 7. Our friends may come (kids aged 3, 6, 10). We want to be able to go on walks from the campsite, have stream, woods etc for kids to explore in and lots of nature! They can get as muddy as they like! Don't want anything commerical. I have seen the fisherground one but concerned not much for younger ones. Any suggestions bearing in mind large tent? Mountain views would be good too!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
we stayed here in October although in our tourer, they have a large camping area and the advantage that you can walk into the village of Hawkeshead. We also went on a couple of walks from the park.
