I had a look at Caseys (Clonea, near Dungarvan) and it looked very good, although we didn't stay there. Might be a good stopover on your route from Rosslare to County Cork. The area around the site is very nice, but I am biased as this is where my family come from!

There is a hotel close to the site which serves good food, and Clonea beach is great. Dungarvan town is 2/3 miles away, which is a nice town with lots of pubs, restaurants, a cinema, shops, a ruined castle and so on.

The scenery in the area is fantastic, and a trip to Helvick and Ring (An Rinn), which is a Gaelic speaking area, is a must.

Can't help with Skibereen I'm afraid, as I haven't been.

We visit the area most years (we are also going in May this year), and there is always something new to do. (Maybe visit Skibereen!)

Maybe because he/she lives in Pembrokeshire?

We stayed on a site near Skibereen, can't remember the name, it was fine but pricey (but they nearly all are in Ireland), but have to say I didn't like the area very much.

Hi - we went two years aog but were quite a bit further west than Skibbereen - we were out at Barley Cove, the most southerly tip of Ireland.

We found the sites we used through www.discoverireland.com but I don't have the info with me. I will have it some where so will come back with more details!
