Hi,

I've tried searching, but most of Northumberland Coast sites I can find are large ones with clubs etc. I'm really looking for a quiet site, preferably very close to a beach which is dog-friendly. Looking for good toilet/shower facilities and hook-up. Any suggestions, please?

We're members of CC & CCC, so CLs/CSs would be fine.

Alas, according the local rag, the fair will not be running this year for anyone planning to visit.

The CC site at Berwick-on-Tweed is only a short walk down to the beach and you can walk into Berwick itself.

I know of a  site just south Berwick called the Beachcomber (next to a small golf club).  If you looking for location, location, location, this is the site as it just behind the sand dunes of Cocklawburn beach.  You could not get a better location but not sure of facilities. 

And yes it's very dog friendly.  My dearly departed pooch will testify this.

Everyone will have their own special place, but this part of Northumberland does it for me so to speak.

You will not get a more peaceful place even at the height of the school holidays. The walks are just amazing.

This is lovely site. Its just a few miles up the road from us, took our tent here for 1 nite when we we first bought it for a "test run". Peaceful, well kept & clean. Close to beaches and lovely scenery. There is a lovely walk from Craster along the coastline to Dunstanburgh Castle.
