What sort of things have been a problem?? We live in leamington, its the only campsite right in the heart of Warwick, fantastic acces to the town & castle!
The site is literally in the middle of the racecourse!

The reviews on the camp site search page don't exactly sound enthusiastic.
But i'd love it if people have good things to say.
as you say it does seem ideal for visiting the castle.
Just had a quick read ..... obviously living in the next town we haven't stayed there but we have a had a look round the site while we've been at the races ! Its very small but seems flat enough & the loo block is good!
It is a very small site & the access is a little bumpy (literally over the racecourse!) but if you think you can put up with some stroppy staff I would go for it! It might be worth checking you aren't coming on a weekend with a race meet as you will have a lot of racegoers looking at you! lol Unless you like a flutter & then you're in prime position!
For the practicality of where the site is, you can walk to the castle & town centre in 5 mins! Its also just 10 mins off the M40 so access is simple enough.
Hope you decide to come to this part of the country its lovely, the castle is very impressive( if a little pricey to get in!) Theres some lovely gardens in Warwick & Leamington. Hope you have a fab time!

I can handle stroppy staff, and we will give it a go.
Stayed at Warwick Racecourse twice last summer. Access was a bit muddy as you have to drive over the racecourse to get in and out. An easy walk into town which is well worth a visit. Toilet block was a bit dated but very clean. Don't know if they have the same wardens as last year but if so they were probably the most friendly, helpful CC wardens we have met! Not sure about the actual Racecourse staff as we didn't meet any when we were there. We would definately go again.
There are few racecourse sites that equal the usual CC standards in my opinion. Ground conditions can be a bit hit and miss and there can be large areas of tarmac so you have to adjust to that style of camping. Often the toilet blocks can be past their best. However they are usually very handy for the local town and it can be good fun if there is racing on when you are there. Providing you don't go thinking you will be getting Chatsworth Park I am sure you will find it fine.
Depending on whether there is racing on, there is a choice of pitch types. The site fronts directly onto the race track from the middle, and this area is tarmac. However on race days this area is not used for caravans. The rest of the site is a mixture of grass and hard standing. We used it as a stop over twice, and found the site to be very convienent to the town, the staff were friendly, and fish & chips were provided by a local fish & chip shop delivered to the site. Can't remember exactly, but think it was a Saturday night they had the delivery. But they were good. Way better than the usual mobile van. The walk into town was easy, and took about 10/15 mins to get to the middle. There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, as you would expect for a race course. We didn't visit on a race day, so can't comment on how busy it gets. Enjoy your stay, you will like it.
We stayed there when daughter went to look at Warwick Uni. We had no problems at all. The staff were great can't remember about the shower block but certain it was completely fine. Very handy for Warwick and the castle. Some people will be negative about any site they stay at good or bad because they are the type who would complain about anything. PMA thats my take on life.!!
