Does anyone know of any caravan site availability for easter, 2 hours drive of Lancashire

we've just managed to get in at Huntingdon Boathaven - sounds a lovely site, can't wait.

This site had availability 2 days ago when we was thinking of booking. Helmsley is a lovely place & handy for York too.

Hi, Huntingdon Boathaven is in Cambridgeshire, between 2 villages called Huntingdon & Godmanchester.  It has very good reviews on here (sorry don't know how to do a link). It's on the River Ouse, there is a boat marina, you can hire a boat or just crack open a bottle of wine, park yourself on one of the picnic benches on the riverbank and watch the world go by. We have a dog and there are lots of good walks, some to the villages & pubs.  It sounds nice, we haven't been before but like you, I was beginning to think that we wouldn't get in anywhere for Easter.

There's a couple of sites in Cumbria we've used in the past , and managed to get in at the last minute for bank holiday periods .......

Dalston Hall , near Carlisle and The Larches at Mealsgate , ( Larches is an adults only campsite).

May be worth a look , both can be found on the campsite search here on ukcampsite.
