Or how about Porth Beach (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2775). It's near Newquay, but just far enought away! Check out Lusty Glaze beach adventure type activities; a short walk away. Also, from here we visited the Eden Project and Tintagel castle using the bus service from right outside the campsite. Couldn't fault the place.....it was lovely, especially for my OH who was a first time camper. The facilities were very clean and the campsite felt very well equipped (although we haven't been since 2006). Hope you find somewhere suitable for you and your family :-)
