When starting Camping and caravaning it was a cheap holiday, now its starting to get beyond a joke.. as well as so much per pitch its also so much per eprson, dog, awning, car, extra person, non chemical drainage, with electric and water.... would some one explain how this is and why it is..
is it that they wouldnt be able to warrant a large hike in fees, so they decided to had in extras...

I've look at the static vans on some sites I would like to go to and although camping has gone up the cost of static vans is a lot higher.------------- No, really?!

think they are doing what they do abroad... "Supplement" there should be just one price for the site.. yes, if you want electric £2 is resonable and small charge for awning (as you have to find some where to park car), but to charge for water hook up and drainage and per person.. no.. BUT i cannot understand is the PER person as well.... if you are paying for the site (plot) then amount of people should have no bearing on the cost
.. Mmmmm..

Can't quite understand what you are saying in your post Steve? Are you saying that some sites charge extra for drainage?

Actually, I never book a site with added extras. I usually pay per person and an EHU charge. Occasionally, I pay extra for the awning.
How about this for a tariff . I've seen the site and it's nice but there is no way I would book there.

Wow! You will need to set up a spreadsheet just to work out how much it will cost to stay there.

Just had a look at that tariff - reckon its a maths professor who runs the site?!
Is this how they've set it up for the first time?
Wonder who long it will be before they change back to something simple?------------- No, really?!

Ive just been very naughty.
I've just emailed them the following. Will let you know if I get a reply.
Hope you don't mind but.......
I've just been looking at your chart for working out the tariff on your site and was wondering who worked it all out.
Is the genius a maths professor?
Is it easy to use because it doesnt seem like it to me and I use spreadsheets every day.

Good luck in getting a reply.
Though to be honest the thing that struck me about the "latest tariff" was that it was for 2007. Maybe this year it's more sensible??
