We went at Easter?? loopy I know, but had hook up so heater was on till went to bed, then kept socks on as a big help to keep warm and  wore a beanie hats and just dug deep in the bag - were really toasty, just did n't hang about once actually out of bag in the morning. (my kids 9 and 10 were fine)

I found it wasn't the heat that was the problem - was the mud, which should n't be so bad now. Go for it

we camped over Easter with a 2 and 4 yr old - no EHU or heaters of any sort.  Just take extra blankets and duvets and hot water botles.  We didn;t use the hot water bottles as we were too warm in the end (and it snowed!).  During the day we arranged lots of trips so that we didn't have to sit in the tent and get cold!

it will be fine.
