Hi i think most campsites only allow one tent per pitch due to health and safety law so it may be difficult to get two tents on one pitch. Hope this helps.

You are usually allowed a small pup tent on your pitch so long as the main tent is not too big in the first place. We now have a caravan but we used to have a frame tent and we also had a small 2/3 berth tent which out eldest son used.

Last time I was away we were going to all squeeze into a 4 man (there were 4 of us, but it wouldn't give huge amounts of room) but changed our mind. The campsite charged per pitch which inc 2 adults and a car. As there were 4 adults and two cars it cost roughly the same to all squeeze on one pitch as to have two!

I know sometimes it's not worth the hassle. Thanks for all the feedback
