Can anyone help us try to solve our dilemma? We have been caravanning for a few years now but never feel like we make the most of our caravan. We only get to use it about 3 or 4 time a year. Admittedly we do have a 2 week break somewhere nice and perhaps another week and a couple of long weekends. We want to use it more however. We have considered a seasonal pitch so we can have overnight weekend breaks, but we would probably do this only one a month and so a season pitch becomes costly for so little use. We live in Braintree in Essex and there seem to be very few sites that offer seasonal pitches that don't require a 2 hour plus drive to get to.

We have also considered leaving our van on a site that offers storage so we haven;'t got to tow all the way to a site every time we want a night away in our caravan. We seem to find that when we are in the caravan it is the only place we can totally wind down so it seems such a shame we don't use it more. We have a 9 year old and a 16 year old so we also need a site where there is something for them to do and ideally a pool would be good. We know we are asking a lot as we have not been able to find the perfect solution yet, so if there is anyone out there who can offer some creative advice it will be very much appreciated!!

Hope to hear from someone!!

Shaun, Emma and family.

Perhaps a touring caravan isn't for you, have you considered selling it and looking for a static somewhere suitable, at the right site you could offset the cost by renting to relatives and freinds when your not going yourself
