I am looking to go away with 2 freinds camping in the south of england in the summer, for a weekend, but as we are all 17 we are not sure if you can even rent a pitch for 2 tents in a campsite or would we have to have an 18year old + with us.
Anyone that can help would be very much appreciated.

I dont know where you are, distance wise, but you could try Kingfisher caravan park at Stokes Bay Gosport. I know they do have youngsters there, and as long as you behave yourself, no prob.
I think if i was you, i'd contact the sites you're interested in and ask them what there policy is on this. I'm sure some sites would allow you if you convince them enough that you'll be adhering to all of the sites rules.

Thanks for your replys were coming from north east london, not to bothered by the traveling though, i looked at the Gosport one and my friend didnt like the reviews as they were mixed and shes picky about the state of the toilet and shower facilities. I have been looking at The Acorns place near Bogner Regius but not sure if they would take us, i shall phone. any other places that are nice let me know.
