Hi, going away with family hopefully in August to the Dorset area, need a good site that takes caravan and tent and preferably being able to pitch next door to one another or near. We got a 3yr old and 11yr old too. Am a member of Caravan Club so used to their standards! thanks for any help.

Hi
We have just got back from Sandford Park about 10 mins drive from Poole.
Its quite a large site with plenty of facilities. We have been there twice and like it that some of the pitches are divided by hedgerows.
I haven't yet visited a caravan club site so wouldn't like to comment about that :-)
HOWEVER i would mention that you have little ones when booking as we were plopped right in the middle of a group of 3 tents and it did get a little noisy at times (the management responded very quickly when notified)
All in all a nice time had.

Check the reviews for Wareham Forest and East fleet farm. Both good sites but my preference would be Wareham , has an outdoor swimming pool as well.

I can recommend Wareham Forest. Have camped there before now and found it very good!!!

Wareham Forest for me. Its excellent, I even enjoyed my stay during the winter.

East Fleet Farm is a lovely camp site the showers etc are excellent, the staff were very nice,

I am with Alison 46 here, East Fleet Farm was far superior to Moreton and East Fleet Farm is NOT a C&CC site whereas Moreton is.

Different gravy.

Try Freshwater Beach in Burton Bradstock. It is a six hour drive for us but we went three times in a Static last year. This year we have opted for the cheaper option camping. We have booked two weeks in July. I have a 6 year old and this site is perfect. The town of Bridport is about 5 drive away with lots of local produce and some good places to eat and drink.
