hi caz

glad you had a nice time. My favourite of the west side of cumbria has to be fisherground.... kids love it & so did we sitting around the camp fires is so for us. Wish their was more sites in the north east that allow fires but only a handful.

Hi Caz, Our 2 favourite sites in Cumbria are Ravenglass & Keswick. Both these sites are Camping & Caravanning Club sites but they accept non-members.

If your not a member and are thinking of using C&CC sites on a regular basis, I suggest you join as you would more than get your membership fee back via the discounted rate. (I think it's about £6 per night cheaper for members but not quite sure as Miss.P does all our bookings)

We were at Ravenglass this Easter and went to Wasdale for the day which was about a 10 mile drive. Fantastic scenery, as you say, but it was even better with the snow on the mountains. Also enjoyed a pint of "Britain's Favourite View" in the Wasdale Head Inn!
