My Fiance is going to the grand prix in july at silverstone, does anyone know of any decent sites near?
There are plenty of campsites that are opened specifically for the Grand Prix weekend around the Towcester/Silverstone area. Do a campsite search for silverstone. I have never been to any so unfofortunately cannot comment on any facilities there.
I would advice to book quickly as im sure it's a popular to camp for the event.
I afraid you will be very lucky to find anywhere now.Whittlebury was full weeks ago and I'm sure I've seen a thread on here saying someone couldn't find anywhere within 20 miles of Silverstone.
Hi try Hamilton Fields we went the other weekend and had a good time.GP weekend they will have showers toilets music on friday night and a pigroast. They also have a catering van on site for tea ect.....note the village shop puts its prices up so go to the tesco its about 10min drive away.

Look on the circuit website for details, most of the temporary campsites are just turn up on the day so as long as you're not planning to arrive at 5pm on Saturday you should be OK.
If planning to stay away from Silverstone for the GP check the traffic and parking arrangements, there will be one way systems in place for the event weekend and you may need to buy parking in advance.
