can anyone recommend a quite site or CL within 30 miles of the coast with EHU, toilets and a good dog walk on site ?

Happy to help you Don't know if the lakes are too far. Try Meathop Fell Just out side Grange over Sands. Lovely CC site and very dog friendly. The bar within the hotel thats only 5 mins walk away is very dog friendly
