Hi we have just come back from a week in a cottage in Chideock, Dorset. We walked to the beach and found "Golden Cap " it was mainly caravans but they do take tents. 3 mins walk to beach, 3 pubs within 20 mins walk (great food at The george) little shop on site. 10 mins Lyme Regis, 10 mins Bridport with good leisure centre. I am planning on camping there next year.
Seadown at Charmouth,150 yards to the beach.We stayed here a few years ago.You can just walk through to the beach without crossing any roads.No club etc.You can walk into the village,there used to be a shop (Londis),chip shop and a pub.Have a look.Near to Lyme Regis,Bridport
