Can anyone recommend a sheltered site in North Devon?
We would ideally like to be near Ilfracombe and Woolacombe but not essential. I phoned up to try and book Damage Barton for this weekend but the lady on the phone said that as we were tent camping it might not be suitable as very exposed and there are winds of up to 50mph forecast.

mill house near ilfracombe is in a valley of sorts, rural, and has its own small bar, and takeaway.  Penny

Hi Penny,
Thanks very much for your reply. I looked at that one and it looked nice but on the website it says if you have a tent for more than 6 people you have to pay for 2 pitches so would work out too expensive for us.
We have booked a Newberry Valley Park now so off tomorrow and hoping weather won't be too horrific.
