Can anyone recommend a good holiday park in Cornwall that is child friendly and won't cost me the earth?
The cheapest i have found so far (and i have been through them all!) is going to cost me £400/£500, and because i work in a school i am unable to take time off in term time.
I'm desperate to do 7 days in our tent but my husband is adamant he wants a caravan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
We stayed here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3514 a couple of years ago, one of the best sites I've been to, the part we were in had campers around the outside of the field in little alcoves and a huge play area in the middle with slides goalposts etc. The site has a playbarn with zip slides, farm animals, pigs etc for the kids to see, small outdoor pool and games room. The bar is small and friendly, food is great value cafe type grub, the bar shuts early 1030ish so the site stays quiet. Older shower blocks were standard stuff, the new log cabin type were great with mini bathrooms, great for showering the kids etc. Cannot remember how much per night but it was cheaper than big sites. Dead close to mevagissy and 1/2hr drive to newquay etc, we had sat nav then and wondered how we woud have coped without as its a maze of unsignposted roads around there!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Thank you for your responses. I have looked at hiring a van but it's still coming up £400 plus, probably won't get better than that as it is the summer holidays/
I'm going to talk hubby into doing a tour of Cornwall and stay at a couple of sites for a few nights in our tent, i'm sure it will work out a lot cheaper anyway and hopefully we can do a last minute flit only if the weather is nice mind you!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
