Hoping to go camping and see the village weekend after next.   We have a motorhome and prefer to leave it at the campsite while we go and visit.  Has anyone used any taxis or any other public transport in the Porthmadoc area if so we will be glad of any info before we book a campsite.

Regards

Jill & Steve

Sorry I can't help with a campsite but I can highly recommend lunch at the castle restaurant just outside the village - think it was around £15 each - but if you showed your receipt at the gate to the village you got in for free (normally around £7 each).

So you get an amazing 3 course lunch with a glass of wine for £8 !!

The village itself is amazing - totally surreal, exactly as it appeared in "The Prisoner"

Enjoy
