I have been searching the web for what seems like days for caravan sites that don't want to charge me for every individual thing, adults, kids, dogs, awnings, scratching ones whatsit!! I have looked on the CC website but can't get my head around the pricing stucture (I am so dense I know) can anyone tell me what a CS and a CL is?
So far I have gleened that CC sites tend to have cleaner/better facilities (just stayed at a c&cc site that was old and minging)
All I want is a site with toilet/shower facilities around the cheshire and Telford area that isn't going to cost a bomb - is this possible? kinda losing hope.
Can all you seasons caravaners give me a nudge in the right direction.
We are not into rallies and gathering much prefer to do our own thing (read miserable b*ggers )
Huge thanks in advance
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

A site for hoe many people and when? I am assuming two adults and would suggest that Lady margarets CC site at Chirk is a pleasant place that is typical of CC sites, cost would be £18.10 per night before Sept 4th and then 14.10 until OCT 2nd, then 13.10 until Oct 23rd and then 12.20 for the rest of the winter. It is a very popular site but there are still vacancies in August more in September and October is relatively untouched.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
It all seems a much of a muchness if you know what i mean. All the C&CC sites we have been to have been great. CC sites too. They both have thier advantages. We have just taken out Mayday breakdown cover with CC which was a bargain. I understand they are helpful if you have problems too. Good luck in your choice.
We get our Mayday cover through them. The saving on that nearly covers the membership, we went to Crich recently and got BOGOF with the CC membership cards so it's paid for itself this year without needing to camp with them.
I don't think they are in decline, but there are closures for various reasons....change of ownership, lack of use, breach of conditions etc. There are also new ones opening every month. With about 3000 (I think) on the list, there are still plenty to choose from.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
