Has anyone managed to book this weekend in the cumbria area, Ive tried everywhere but cant get any availability.  Kids desperate to go tomorrow so if anyone has just booked somewhere and can help?

Have you tried Dale Bottom Farm, just out of Keswick on the Ambleside road?

It's a fairly basic site but is in beautiful surroundings and does not usually get too busy.  Have a look at the reviews on the Camp Site Search.

We had this dilemma about 2 weeks ago & ended up going to the Yorkshire Dales instead.  There were loads of vacancies & the whole area was a lot quieter & equally beautiful - sometimes you feel like you're tripping over people in the lakes, esp at the weekend.
