We're off bank holiday weekend, staying for 5 nights at Willow Holt Tattershall, Lincoln in our tent. Not stayed here before and was wondering if anyone else had. We've stayed at Bainland in Woodhall Spa which is not too far away from Willow Holt and really enjoyed it there but after ringing to see if they had room for us was put off by the price, £38 a night for 2 adults,2 kids and EHU for a gravel pitch. How can you pitch a tent on gravel? Surely it can't be very comfortable Thought this was a bit of a rip off. We don't mind spending a few quid for nice sites but really think this is a bit of a rip. Anyway any info appreciated on Willow Holt would be really appreciated. Lets hope the weathers kind to all us campers

To Bill The Bus. Will you please explain what you mean by "Sorry Wrong Site". Is it really bad? And to Ratty, I have read all the reviews but just thought i'd ask to see if anyone else had any more to add on the site. Thanks for your answers.

We stayed at Willow Holt last weekend

If you look at the site map we were on number 44 pitch, we were lucky to be able to choose from several spots but we liked this one as it had bushes to one side and a hedge behind (the road is beyond the hedge but we didn't notice any noise really).

If you are going with children I would recommend that you take lots of entertainment for them as there isn't anything for them to do on site.

Also if you have youngish children I wouldn't recommend you let them wander around the back of the site beyond the raised banks as there is some machinery there and they could hurt themselves.

There is a caravan dealer who has a shop where you can also buy chairs, electrical bits and bobs, lights and heaters if you need anything.  Its called Vantage Caravans - turn right past the Post Office in Tattershall and its on the right hand side about 5 mins down the road.

Hope you have a good weekend!
