lots of good advice in the camping section just do a search under what you want to know. and if you open the camp site search button this will show you a map and can help you find many sites for you to choose.
We stayed in Cayton Bay near Scarborough in May and to be honest if you are new to camping you will find the site ideal and not too far for you to travel either. Nice good pitches, very helpful and friendly staff, The shower and toilet facilities are excellent and the site is located within easy travelling to Scarborough, whitby, Robin Hoods bay etc, my kids loved it.
Ripley was a good base BUT check the ground before you decide to stay. When its wet it is wet !!!! Drainage very poor with far too many huge puddles on pitches AND when its windy crikey you don't half know it!! Staff very pleasant.
On site facitilities not bad, pool too small. Locally Knaresborough well worth a visit if only to take out a boat on the river. Harrogate very good for a shop with plenty of good restaurants and nice parks. If you like a walk well there are plenty with great views.

Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
