Could you point me in the direction of campsites for tents you can paddle in the lake or river without leaving the site, please?  Preferably in Yorkshire or perhaps Lincolnshire.

Thank you.

Knight Stainforth Hall near Settle. It's right on the bank of the Ribble.

Thank you! It looks lovely.  Have read some reviews on this site & checked out their website but couldn't find any prices.  Will ring next time we decide to go away.

If it is for children Then Akebar park in Leyburn has a Knee High Dingy pond for kids to enjoy.

For Adults & Teens Slenningford watermill is on the river ure With Canoeing & kayaking This river is fast flowing so younger ones need to be supervised the site is near Masham

Looks a nice site but the website is poor - does it take dogs?

Thank you.  They are five and nearly 7, but very outdoory.  They would be closely supervised - we would be paddling too!  So much fun!

If this weather we've been having lately doesnt improve, you wont need to look for a site on a lake, because most sites will be lakes.

Rosedale Abbey campsite.

Has a river & kids paddle. Also good pubs very close by.

I've got a review in, along with many others.
