We have just stayed at Birchwood Farm near Matlock this weekend. It cost £12.50 for a night. I was reaaly impressed by this as it had all the facilities and that was for an electric hook up too. If you've stayed anywhere for a similar price I would love to hear about it please. I have 3 kids so it has to be family friendly please. Thanks Up to now it's always been around £30 a night but we're still new only been at it since June

As I have mentioned before , if we ALL commented on the sites we have visited , then we would be in a good position to decide where to go.
Eddie42 - we love Ripley nr Harrogate - will be glad to see your review as we need more of them.
Will be sleeping with my fleece hat on this weekend - will I need a tin hat before the mods pull this post, as my other posts have been before about posting reviews?

Forgot to mention best price i had paid for a while was at Long Beach, Hemsby
Huge pitch with ehu for four of us was £14 per night and that was in the middle of August. Best toilet and showers i have come across with free hot water, also club house in main part of site that did good food and reasonably priced beers
Hi we stayed at Birchwood a few weeks ago and were really impressed with the site and the cost.
Pexton Moor Farm is a good site and also good value for money. It is at the side of the entrance to Dalby Forest, so excellent location if you have bikes.
Have left a review for both sites.
Also, if you are into Haven sites, they have very good deals at different times of the year, you just have to keep looking on the website. Their cost is for up to 6 or possibly 8 people, ehu, extra car & awning including in cost.
If you want cheap sites then you should join one of the clubs and start rallying. I don't remember paying more than £15 for a weekend and there is a great friendly atmosphere (even the first time)
Contrary to popular misbeleif, you are not expected to follow each other like sheep on a rally, but there is usually something going on and you will be welcome to attend. If you don't want to join in then no one will mind.

Hey thanks everyone for replying to my post. I've never been on a forum before so was well excited to see I'd had 9 replies. Gonna check out all your suggestions online now. Keep the recommendations coming please, don't think I'll be going anymore this year cos it's too cold for me now, but come the better weather we'll be off again so gonna make a list of all reasonably priced sites.
just finished unloading the car, from a camping trip at Ripley camping site, can only describe the site as spot on , for the time of year the site was quite busy mainly with touring caravans but a few of us campers kept the side up ! all the facilities were spotless, the wardens that look after the site can only be best described as marvels helping everyone out especially the kids,Evan has a indoor swimming pool , will be going back to this site next year.
any one got any details for the sites mention above ( marfitt head farm, pexton moor farm ) i,ve tried the campsite search but no joy. any one help many thanks .
