Please could someone help me understand seasonal pitch costs, I am looking for a pitch for over the Winter (Nov to March) but not sure what is a reasonable price. I have been offered a pitch at a really good site for £500 but still unsure as to what this includes do you just go as and when to your van or do you still need to pay each time you go to the van and pay electricity on top?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Every site will vary. Some include everything - some exclude certain things. Best to check what is included so as you are aware of all the costs involved
Ours is a 10 month year, and costs £160 per month (£1600 pa) all in (electricity, showers etc), and storage for the other 2 months.
We can use it when we want for as long as we want from 1st March to 2nd January, and in the closed months (3rd Jan - 28th Feb) we can go during the day to clean, have a brew etc.
We went this weekend for the first time as a seasonal pitch, what a difference it makes just washing up, locking the door and driving home. No emptying the caravan and putting into storage, I can't wait for the season to start proper.
HTH
Cheers
Paul

We pay £500 for easter till october in North Cornwall (was down there all last week) thats for the caravan leaving on my pitch , meaning we can turn up a any time and be set up in afew minutes the electric is extra .
its a very quiet site off season so we were on our own last week ,walk surf bbq ect love it. its such a great feeling to have almost a second home
at the end of october we tow a mile down the road and pay just over £100 for 6 months storage

we've just put ours on a site near Knaresborough and it's open for 11 months and the cost for the year is £1200, only had one weekend there so far but it's great just getting there after a hard day at work and not having to tow the van anywhere or set up

We do almost the same sort of thing in North Cornwall but could do with more info about the storage as were looking at the moment. I would also be interesting to hear of your experiences and catch up maybe.
