Southlands camping park on the Isle of Wight is to come under the ownership of the Caravan Club as from April 2009.

Not sure as to if this will affect tent campers as a lot of CC sites don't accept tents.

Looks as if it will be members only!

What a shame! Alot of tenters used to use that site!

If you type Southlands caravan park into Google all will be revealed!

Excellent news, have stayed at this superb site in the past and as a CC member good to see the club expanding its portfolio of sites

Shame Southlands is now unusable to us tenters, it was a lovely site but we actually have camped at Ninham just down the road from Southlands the last few IOW trips!! I can highly recommend it to any tenters looking for somewhere new!! The space and pitches are unrivalled!!
