Hello, we have just found a site at Praa Sands in Cornwall- it is called Bosverbas. It is only a 5 van site but we were wondering if anyone out there has been to it and could possibly tell us what it is like. Many thanks Gary

Praa i a great place and also ideal for exploring the area, there is a pub right up next too the beach and Chris Old`s fish and chip restaruant next door. Post office up in the village with a large warehouse clearance type shop. The beach is fantastic and popular with surfers to fisherman i have personally witnessed dolphins swimming through the bay. There is a toilet near to the beach, my only gripe with praa is the parking its now a complete rip off, if you are fit enough park up behind the post office and walk to the beach.
My other personal favourite places in the area other than the obvious are Perranuthnoe, Lamorna Cove, Godrevy Point and the carboot at rosudgeon club on wednesday afternoons. The Fire Engine pub at Marazion, oh my I could go on forever.
I've not stayed there, but it is off the main busy road, so you will need to drive to the beach, as you will need to cross the road and then get down the long hill. If you check their postcode TR20 9AA on the google mapping you can see that it has hedges, so it should be nice and private.
If you belong to the caravan club then try Chiverton Farm CL, it's a very quite farm site near Rosudgeon and you can walk to Perranuthnoe accross a couple of fields.
There are a couple of sites in Praa itself, but both are a bit of a walk up the hill. Try Higher Pentreath Farm it has a great view towards the Lizard.

We have stayed at Bosgrege close to Praa (need car), when we stopped car park was £3 a day(06), i did not consider this a rip off.
There was 2 site close to Praa sands the small one was excellent but no EHU, the 2nd was on a farm on the hill over looking Praa,we drove up but not like the set up,but reviews on this site lots of vistors have enjoyed there stay
We have stayed at Praa Sands at Lower Pentreath campsite. Short walk down to beach and pub along the lane and most pitches have sea views. Its very small only 15 pitches. Very quiet and spotless. Would highly recommend.
Hi barabbas- no not gat a website for this site but it is a C & CC site (CS) and it is on there sites list. We have been and stayed in this area beforee and we know it well, and yes Praa sands is wonderful. Thanks for the posts though. Really appreciate it. Gary

hiya bit late replying but just seen your question we live in cornwall and have been to jackie and freddies campsite for 3 years going about 2 or 3 times a year we find it an excellent base for all the things you want to do, it is very quiet and peaceful campsite with a small games room with a tv and internet and pool table they sell cans of drink and sweets, they have a toilet and shower block, shower costs 40p wer find it a very cheap holiday at £15.00 pernight including electric hook up just 2 mile down the road it costs 27.00 per night so bargain staying at bosverbas.
We have been to this site in June 2011. The owners have moved on and new owners have taken over. It is very spacious, has lovely sea views but there is no longer a games room. Children are no longer permitted. The shower is by meter. Two toilets which are shared. Hookup points and screened off areas which makes it more secluded. All in all, a lovely site. We liked it so much we stayed longer than intended. There is a bus service from a short walk up the road, either to the left for Helston or right for Penzance.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
