Just being nosey, always looking for inspiration, but are there certain areas you visit at certain times of the year?

For example, in Spring we tend to head to the South Coast, Devon etc, because you get the daffodils and spring flowers out early. Autumn we love the New Forest for the colours. Winter - not sure, it's our first year with a van so don't know yet! We love nature and to camp and see the seasons change is just magical.

So go on, give me some inspiration - are there places you visit at certain times of the year for different reasons? I'm starting to plan where we want to visit next year and use our van as much as we can.

In land, low down and sheltered for winter. Keep out of those high and freezing cold winds. Ok when your in the van but when you go out to walk the dog Brrrr

Given the shorter days I suppose one suggestion would be to use a campsite near or in a town or city as at least that way there are opportunities which are not so dependent on the weather. How about near London?

We have just stayed at Wooler in Northumberland, it`s on the edge of the Northumberland national park. I have to say that the Autumn colours were amazing. We visited Berwick and we were lucky enough to see seals in the sea, Whilst traveling around we saw lots of Pheasants.

Winter, we haven`t had the privalage yet.

Spring, we try to visit Worlds way near Malton they have some lambs you can feed.

Summer, anywhere near Filey, I love a walk on the sea front and a coffee in Glen park.

Never been to Northumberland but would love to go, it looks fantastic. Haven't made it to the Lake District for years now.

My first year winter caravanning too!!  I also love Devon and the New Forest - we're trying Devizes (the C&CC site) this winter.

Glenmore forestry site - no light pollution, just the mountains towering over you at night and lovely walks during the day. Even better if there is snow (rare these days).

Where in Harris do you live?

Nothing better than a cold crisp winter morning on a beach in Lewis (or Harris). First thing CH*****as Day or New Years Day in particular. I used to love the icicles hanging from the caves on our local beach and crunching through the frost on the beach.

We are planning to stay there too, and Postern Mill near Malborough. We usually go to New Forest as it's an hour from us. Be interesting to compare with Postern Mill.

Scotland....were planning to go this year as was made redundant, in the end I went straight from one job to the next so couldn't do the grand tour. Fancy Ardgarten.

Went to the CC site at Grassington (Yorkshire) for 3 nights last weekend, the colours are absolutely fabulous at the moment. Always like Yorkshire this time of year because of that.

Ooh, I've glanced at that one before, sounds popular. Not far from my sister so they could pop in and visit!
