We're up in Northumberland in August and are thinking of extending our time there with a week camping. We are going to be on Holy Island, so somewhere near there. Haven't ever been up there so have no idea of where is nice but we have pretty specific requirements.

We need a site that has large pitches with EHU for tents. It needs to be flat and sheltered with excellent sanitary facilities. It must have a children's play area.

We do not want a clubhaaase, bar or any entertainment, cabaret or children's clubs. At all. (Every time we've been to a site with this sort of thing, it's been a total chavfest I'm afraid to say)

Any recommendations? We aren't in the CC or C&CC.

 have a look at highburn campsite wooler , we,ve camped here a few times , 10min walk to a lovely village, owners nice, facilities spot on , no bar ,no rowdies ! , very reasonable,

 i,ve spoken to a few people who have used this site for touring the area , and all have been very happy with the site . good luck.
